Getting Started

• Go at your own pace
• Be responsible for your own body - take care of injuries and limitations
• Keep your eyes open, so that you are aware of others, and your physical surroundings
• Dance barefoot or in dance shoes - socks on their own are dangerous
• Breathe
• Give yourself lots of permission to move, you can't get this wrong!
• Focus on moving from the inside, out - from feelings and sensations to form and expression
• Stay open to the possibility of your feelings changing and your dance evolving during the class
• Your body is unique, only you can dance your dance.
• Enjoy yourself!
